SquirrelWood Farms is a 92 acre farm in the beautiful Hudson Valley Region of New York State. We specialize in hands on full service care to rehabilitation cases. From the most complicated cases to the routine we treat our client's horses like our very own. We have a proven 7 year track record, with 97% success in returning horses to work and play. From the jumper with a hind suspensory trying to return to the A circuit, to the upper level dressage horse that underwent major colic surgery with post op complications, we have dealt with them all. The average stay is approximately 3 to 6 months. We take horses from stall rest to full work. We work side by side with veterinarians, our farrier and owner/ trainers to create a specialized program for each case.
